The Child and Education Administration in Vimmerby municipality is responsible for all educational activities, from preschool to higher education, and also oversees Swedish for immigrants (SFI) and community orientation for newcomers. Our common goal is for the children and youth of Vimmerby municipality to have the best conditions to meet the future and develop into creative, curious, and secure individuals.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

As a special educator, you will work with:

• Guidance and consultation
• Observation and mapping work
• Documentation and follow-up
• Pedagogical leadership

As a special educator, you are a key person in creating an inclusive learning environment where all children, regardless of their circumstances, have the opportunity to develop and learn. You provide advice, support, guidance, and supervision to educators, teams, speech therapists, and principals on issues related to children's development, learning, and needs for special support. As a special educator, you conduct observations in child groups to identify barriers and opportunities in the learning environment and map individual children's needs. The special educator supports the work with action plans and pedagogical investigations and ensures that interventions are systematically evaluated. As a special educator, you are often a link between preschool, guardians, speech therapists, and also external actors such as child health care and social services. You work closely with speech therapists and principals.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who:

• Is a licensed teacher/preschool teacher.
• Has a special education degree.
• Alternatively has other education that the employer assesses as equivalent.
